Some cards made with Dusty Attic goodness

I create these cards recently and have just had them featured in Australian, cardmaking and Stamping magazine, but can now share them with you. They where covered in my favorite papers by Maja papers and loaded full of Dusty Attic goodness, the chipboard ranges available are awesome for card makers.

I had so much fun making these, and really should make some more sooner rather than later.
Make sure you call past the Dusty Attic blog and check out all the awesome inspiration that is available and if you havn't used the Maja papers yet I suggest you try and get your hands on some, they are seriously adorable :)  Thanks for calling past and happy creating xx

A very Dusty looking lantern

Hi this Month I thought I would create something off the page to show case some Dusty Attic goodies, and I had recently purchased this Black Lantern and a bargain store close by, and it seemed perfect for what I had in mind.

I removed the glass and painted the whole lantern white. Once it was dry I painted my chosen chipboard pieces white as well, I chose to decorate all four sides identical except I added a different Mini word to each side, I used the words Believe, Dream, Adore and Cherish.
First up I sprayed the Corner Flourish #5 DA 0875 and attached it on the right hand side of each side of the lantern. I then built up my floral cluster on the opposite side trailing down and added a few Mini Butterflies #2 DA 0893 to the flourish.

I wanted to decorate the top of the lantern as well and really like the look of the Dusty Attic Mini wrought Iron Fence DA 0948, I painted it white, distressed it just a little and attached two layers of it around the top of the lantern, oh and I attached it upside down so it look like the fancy edging they have on the old fashioned houses.

I also added some matching flowers, including the gorgeous Dusty Attic Mini Roses in the pink, to the very top and painted white and distressed a  Dusty Attic Flutterbies #3 DA 0766 to each side of the top section.

Thank you for calling past, and Dont forget to pop over to the Dusty Attic Ning and check out all the Dusty goodness that everyone shares over there.

Thanks for stopping by

Sharing some older projects

I had a friend tell me that my blog was a tad boring because most of my creations are published these days and I therefore don't get to share a lot, so I figured I would go back and share some of the stuff that has been removed for publications etc

Last April I took my Grand daughter with me on a trip to Canberra and she formed a beautiful friendship with my best friends daughter Mischa, I loved this photo and decided to create a layout and gift it to Mischa to keep as a lasting memory of the friendship they formed.  I have used some amazing Maja papers and of course Dusty Attic Chipboard.

Thanks again for calling past, I love having you join me and your comments mean so very much.

Hi there, This month I wanted to create a layout using one of my favorite pieces from the latest release, The gorgeous Ivy corners These are really beautiful pieces and my whole layout was based on these.
I covered them in Maja papers  ( Vintage Summer Basics ) and placed some muslin underneath them. I painted all of my Dusty Attic products with Navajo white paint and slightly distressed the edges with my craft knife to add some character to the pieces.

I cut the door on the birdcage  and sat a little bird in there, I also distressed the edge of my photo.

Below is a list of all the Dusty Attic products I have used to create this layout.

Flutterbies #3 DA 0766
Chevrons DA 0992
Heart arrows #1 DA 1016
Ivy Corners DA 1034
Bird Cage #4 DA 0085

I hope you have enjoyed this project, and gathered some inspiration as well, Happy Scrapping  :) x

Adore - Gift Box

WOW 2014 all ready, Like everyone else for me the year has flown by and here we are in 2014 - Thank you to everyone of you who supported me throughout the last 12 months, and thanks especially for the inspiration because so many of you unknowingly inspire me everyday.

Well my most exciting news to kick of the new year is that I am again a part of the Dusty Attic Design Team, and you all know how much I LOVE the amazing chipboard that this company continually release and all of my creations feature the amazing designs that they release. I am so thrilled to be a part of the team with some truly AMAZING ladies whom have inspired me emotionally and creatively for such a long time, I am looking forward to my creative journey like never before :)

I created this little Dusty Attic gift box a few months back but was so busy with the festive season and family that I never got to sharing it with you all.

I decorated the cigar box but wanted to do it in a feminine way so I could gift it to my Amazing Mother In Law at Christmas with a bottle of perfume inside it. My Mother In Law is my biggest fan and always makes such a fuss of anything I create so its always such a buzz to create things for her.

I painted the box white and covered it with some Prima papers then I painted the nest white

I also used the new Birds on a Branch -  available in the latest release
I also added to the front of the box some Dusty Attic hinges

Thanks for calling past, I hope all your Dreams come true in 2014, whatever they are they are your Dreams so believe in them, always :)
I look forward to your visits here on my blog and I will certainly be calling past your blogs, I just love looking at all that you create.

Happy Scrapping

12 days of Christmas - Dusty Attic style

I am not really a Christmas creator, in fact I love Christmas with a passion and every year I fill my house with all sorts of whimsical Christmas Santas and decorations BUT when it comes to scrap booking or creating I just don't do Christmas. Anyway I played around a bit and came up with this little creation.

I joined two of the Dusty Attic ATC Shadow box together with hinges and a clasp so I can close it, then I decorated the inside frames with some White Christmas themes on the inside.

I  have listed the products used here for your information :
ATC Shadow box - DA 0823. Mini Merry Christmas - DA 0194. Christmas Ornaments - DA 0199. Christmas Trees - DA0124. Mini Reindeer - DA 0779. Mini Wrought iron fence - DA 0948. Mini lamp posts - DA 0754. Mini Birdhouses - DA 070. Mini Stars - DA 1040.
I loved this idea with the ATC Shadow boxes and will definitely make more with some different themes for decorating the insides. Thanks for looking and may you have a Happy, safe and very Merry Christmas.

Make sure you go over to THE DUSTY ATTIC Blog and check out all the other amazing works the design team have for you, you will be blown away :)
