My first layout with a touch of masculine in about 5 years

When I started out on my scrap booking journey I started creating boy layouts for my son, BUT then I got a grandaughter and discovered, pink, lace, flowers and all things girly, so it has been a long time since I created a masculine layout.
But with a few friends urging me and this stunning photo of my gorgeous son and grandaughter I just had to create a Masculine page and I didnt want it flowery,  although I did manage to sneak a few of the awesome new Dusty Attic   mini roses on  to the layout, let me tell you they were just perfect for this project and they are perfect on just about everything I create, and come in such a great range of colors too, the even look good on my cards and OTP creations as well.
On this layout I have used the Cogs fame set, Cogs set 1, Mini cogs, Name plates #5, the awesome new Mini ABC set upper, and of course the Mini roses, ( Latte Cream 1cm and Chocolate #730.

I had a whole lot of fun creating this layout, my first ever use of Washi tape ( and boy am I addicted now, I also stamped, distressed and used my Martha punch on this.
I am looking forward to creating a few more layouts with a little bit of masculine too.

Thanks for calling past and know that I adore each and every visit I get and your lovely comments mean so much

New Dusty Attic goodies

The new Dusty Attic release is as always just stunning, I chose to use the new Corner flourish #4 and decorated it white and distressed it, I then added the new mini ABC set also painted with and distressed. In the top right hand corner I added a Flutterbie #3.
The small pink roses are also new from Dusty and let me tell you they have every color you could ever imagine, the range is amazing, so make sure you get your local store to get some in for you to add to your stash.

Dont forget to call past the ning and have a look, it is full of inspiration, and so many people are uploading their creative work to display, well worth a look.

Some gorgeous new Dusty Attic

I have been playing a bit over the holidays, but not as much as I would like. I have done a few layouts and also made some ATCs for The Dusty Attic swap.
I also made this layout the other day using some of the awesome new release

I have used the Morrocan Lamps Code : DA0835 also the the Mini Morrocan Lamps Code : DA0836
and the Monarch Butterflies Code : DA0819, which I totally adore, they are just so cute and look great added to any piece that you may be creating.

the paper is from the Kaisercraft Marigold collection and the flowers are an assortment from my rather large flower stash :)

Thanks again for calling past, happy scrapping to you and I hope to be back in full swing very soon
